It was an absolute privilege to witness the passion, creativity, sisterhood, and fun that is Project Pink Fashion Show. Perfectly situated atop Regions Rooftop overlooking downtown Indianapolis, Project Pink showcased modern silhouettes of repurposed Susan G. Komen “Race for the Cure” T-shirts and scarves, expertly designed by the students of the Art Institute of Indianapolis. The models and designers presented a unique dynamic because each model was either a survivor or co-survivor of breast cancer and all the designers donated their time for free, further cementing the common goals of service and community on this memorable night. I had the pleasure of interviewing these strong, courageous, and beautiful model/survivors after the show and later learned that Project Pink Fashion Show raised $30,000 for breast cancer awareness and research.
