Sometimes I get asked how I know the other hosts on IN the Loop TV Show and what they are really like in real life. The last one always makes me laugh, but the first question makes me reflect. Some of the crew, like our Producers and Kaylyn, I have known for years and have worked together in various ways. While others, the show is what brought us together.
This is the story of how I met Jade … and ate way too much food.
Jade and I were meeting for the first time and covering the Stacked Pickle together. One of the fun parts about a restaurant or bar shoot, you often get to eat and drink everything you cover or at least get to order your favorite just for you. It is a great perk and no wonder why I enjoy shooting them. We met over a basket of wings, a pint of beer and what is affectionately known as The Hangover Burger.
Between delicious bites of the burger, we talked with half-mouths-full about our time in entertainment and our personalities. Jade is definitely as fun to be around off-camera as she is on-camera. We laughed as we progressed to the wings and her fiance joined us. It was so cool to meet him and their whole family at the Tibbs Drive-In shoot. We finished our night devouring their namesake and enjoyed some deep fried pickles.
Indianapolis has a lot of restaurants to offer and a variety to choose from. However, some stand out more than others. Sometimes it is the food they serve, the atmosphere they offer, or the memories made. And sometimes, it is all of the above.
