It is easy to find just about any type of store or restaurant in Indianapolis. With such an expansion of places to eat, drink and play it is difficult for bars to find their niche in bar identity. Sure there are plenty of options, but where can you find your favorite stool, attentive bartender and the food that you have to put in your mouth.
Enter Joe’s Grille in Castleton. Their goal? To bring high quality food and service to the area in a bar that is part neighborhood watering hole, part sports bar and a wholly good time!
From the moment you walk in you will notice a few things immediately. First of all, it’s a big, bright and immaculately clean with TVs everywhere you look, even outside on their lovely patio.
Fresh salads, pizza, burgers, wings — even fish and chips— make Joe’s Grille a great option for lunch, dinner or even a late night snack. The bottom line: Whether you live in the many neighborhoods that surround Joe’s Grille, or you’re just traveling through the area, it is worth stopping by if you’re looking for a big sports bar experience with all the benefits of a locally owned and operated neighborhood pub.
My favorite part: This delectable little treasure that I have only seen at Joe’s, the hog wings. I have the pleasure of enjoying the food and drinks at the different restaurants we cover, and I have had so much barbecue and wings in my life that the food standard is high. These wings, these tasty-seasoned morsels of food stirred a debate between my producer and myself on who was going to reap the benefits of taking the last bites home. I conceded, (or I lost?), but to great avail. I called my dad from the car and I found myself back at Joe’s Grille in Castleton, sharing my new find. After the first bite my dad and I simultaneously sighed, looked at each other and smiled.
