Geist Marina provided IN the Loop a huge pontoon boat and let us explore the fun and excitement of Geist Reservoir. The marina rents boats and kayaks seven days a week, and also features brand new boats for sale.
Geist Reservoir is one of two reservoir in Indianapolis. The first (on the westside) is Eagle Creek, known for its state park scenery, beautiful sunsets and sailboats. Geist (on the northeast side) is known for the luxurious houses, party coves, and busy waters.
Geist is the place to be on the weekends in Indianapolis. Colts and Pacers players, the who’s who of Indy, and famous residents can often be seen fishing or boating on the waters. Rows and rows of gorgeous mansions line the banks of the reservoir and offer break taking sites.
Geist, unlike Eagle Creek, doesn’t restrict the horsepower of boat motors, so there are plenty of speed boats, tubing, skiing, wave runners, and water sports to be enjoyed.
While you’re out on Geist, enjoy one of three restaurants that allows boaters to pull up to the docks, order food, and have it delivered straight to the boat. You can just sit pretty and wait for a delicious meal.
The next time you are in need of some summer fun, call Geist Marina, rent a boat, and enjoy a fabulous lake day on Geist Reservoir.
